Inga, Ana-Maria, and Ludmilla (my fabulous host mom, "mamachica") all work for this international makeup company - Oraflame. Last night was sort of like an award night for people who were rising up in the company (Ana-Maria being one of these rising stars!). It was basically a company prom. There was a red carpet, long gowns, full makeup and hair, live music, singing, dancing, performers, an amazing sit down dinner, and lots of pictures. Mikayla and I really had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. Our host family looked absolutely amazing, and though Mikayla and I did sport adorable matching dresses we definitely still got looks like "who let these questionable Americans in...?"
The evening was amazing and so fun! I loved the moldovan dancing and champagne... and honestly all the festivities. Iacov (our hilarious host dad) was the real MVP of the night, who kept pouring shots of Nistru (like the Moldovan River) Cognac. I so appreciate being included in the event, it really was wild and unlike anything I had seen before. I felt like Moldovan royalty.
Anyways of to Italy now. Casually right?
Chao!
Fashionably crashing.
That moment when you realize you may have become a Moldovan superstar.
And of course there where hot air balloon rides.
Still not sure who let the Americans in
But, we didn't really hate it.
That moment when mom and dad turn out to be celebrities.
And then we made new friends who are probably Moldovan models
And then our host sisters turned out to be secret models too...
And they let us join their fabulous family
"FOUR SISTERS"
Dad obliges with an "American Smile"
Dinner
The violinist and ballerinas were killing the game. Absolutely slaying.
And then the company CEOs came out on these.
And then we danced.
All in all, an amazing night.
