A Moldovan Sunday

I thought I'd give Catholic church in Romanian a shot today, I felt like I could use a little more grace than usual considering I've stepped on a few toes already in the week I've been here. I left with Francesca to hit up the holy spirit around eight thirty this morning, and she first brought me to her church, a really gorgeous Eastern Othodox basilica, and then pointed me in the right direction of one of Chisinau's two (very very small) Catholic churches. At mass, I was the youngest person there by at least fifty years, and definitely got some stares. But, the word "Amen" is universal, so I was set.

In the afternoon, Francesca brought us to this thing called "Kangoo Jumps" (see http://craft.md/kj/ )
which was honestly one of the strangest things I've participated in. We wore these moon boot things and did a bouncing kind of choreographed workout. Honestly it was so weird and I was pretty terrible at it, but it was definitely an experience.

SO to sum up my first Moldovan weekend: Bridalshows, barbecues, and bouncy fitness. Ay I don't know what to make of any of this.

Francesca, her friend, and Lindsey and I give Kangoo shoes a shot.

Almost like roller glands but they bounce.

I know, so very hip in my congo shoes.

and Linsey repping hers!

This doesn't even begin to show the madness that was Kangoo Jumps
